In addition, CCS has been offering free regional trainings, Growing Healthy Children, across the state, the last of which will be in San Diego on September 30, 2008. All of the trainings have been co-sponsored by afterschool regional leads, Network for a Healthy California regions and the California After School Network. In addition, CCS presented two highly successful community connections summits (one in Los Angeles and one in Visalia) to connect community resources in nutrition, physical activity and food security with afterschool programs.
